I couldn't find a bike like this one in any stores around our area. The company didn't charge me any shipping which made the price reasonable. It is a good bike, came in excellent condition and my son loves it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for me - a 42 year old father of two boys. I'm 150 pounds, 5' 7" and feel like a kid again. I remember riding BMX bikes when I was 12 and can still perform some of the stunts I used to do. Anyway, the bike is very light and rides like no other BMX bike I've had. Granted, I haven't had the best, but this bike is certainly fun to ride.

If you've never put a bike like this together I would suggest you take it to a bike shop like I did. Only $35 to have the bike put together. The bike shop had the same bike for much more $$$$$ than what I paid on Amazon.

Assembly was less than 30 minutes, everything in great working order. Added rear pegs to make room for a friend. Quick test drive by dad, bike is sturdy and ready to take a beating, no creeking, tight as a drum. I've done a lot of shopping and this is now the third diamondback I've picked up this year. Dollar for dollar, you won't find a better value in the marketplace.

(More customer reviews)I am a teenager who got this bike last year for Christmas(the 2010 model) and its great. I use it for riding trails, and even went to the local race track and it performed faantastic there as well. I orogionally wanted more of a bike to ride on dirt, so i customized this Diamondback Joker into a dirt racer. I took off the cable detangler, as well as the front brake, put on pads, and it was good to go. I have jumped 5-6 feet jumps constantly and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I dont know what pedals the 2011 model has, but the 2010 model i have had metal pedals, which would tear my shins when I wreck, so i got plastic ones. Best bike I ever had. Highly recomended for the price.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bicycle for my son's 8th birthday. He has been off trainers for a while and is ready for handle brakes. I like that the bike has both a handle brake and a pedal brake. This is perfect for this learning transition. Shorter riders will quickly realize that grabbing the handle brake can help in steadying the bike while mounting.
I am very impressed with the quality of parts. Aluminum rims, easily adjustable gooseneck, long seat post for maximum adjustability, these features can be very helpful in extending the life of the bike.
The size of the bike frame and riding position fit my son perfectly. For your consideration I will say the frame minimum standing clearance is 20 inches. I do not recommend this bike for a child whose inseam is less than 21 inches. My son measures 21 inch inseam and is very comfortable riding.
The package arrived with a full set of allen wrenches and a open ended wrench. All tools necessary for initial assembly are in the box. If you buy, be sure to check all bolts before riding. The factory does not always get every one tight.

(More customer reviews)I am six foot and over 30, but I wanted a small light bike that zips around. This has been perfect for me on the street. I don't go to the tracks or anything crazy. It's just a fun bike to ride. This of course was the most economical decision for me but I love this bike. It's still a little small for a guy my size, but I know what I was getting into. The front tire is fat and the back smaller, I'm sure that's some BMX thing but I thought it kind of odd.
